Green City. Smart waste management
For understandable reasons, citizens increasingly want to live in smart cities. We all want more efficient traffic, more safety and more efficient use of energy. Innovative systems provide solutions to these problems and we can say that we are witnessing continuous progress in certain areas.
Smart waste management is extremely important for citizens’ quality of life, and solutions that have emerged in this area in recent years are helping to improve disastrous waste management through technologies such as Trash Master.
Combining cloud-based software with the latest Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, the new smart bins can identify the status of bins at any time and issue alerts to the relevant department to handle and collect waste from full bins in public and private spaces, thanks to those sensors installed in each bin.
At the same time, when the garbage exceeds a certain level, it will be compressed by the compactor powered by solar energy, thus making it possible to store a larger amount, and the bins will be picked up less often.
Smart sensors, for example, stop the compaction process when human presence is detected. If a fire is detected in the dumpster, the fire sensor will immediately alert the person handling the dumpster and even activate the fire extinguisher to put it out.
This smart bin helps to plan waste management, create a cleaner and safer environment and increases efficiency, reducing expenses and CO2 emissions.
