Between digitization and digitalization

Digitization gives us a digital version of physical elements, such as documents, pictures, even sounds.

Digitization involves changing communications, business functions and business models into digital data, often reduced to a combination of digital and physical, such as omnichannel customer service, integrated marketing or production automation.

The newer workforce works differently, using digital means such as mobile technologies or using social collaboration and communication systems that allow them to work remotely.

Digital business is the fruit of many digital processes, from procurement, e-services, supply, invoicing to the automation of many processes and internal processes within a company and represents an important step towards digital transformation.

In terms of digitization, digital progress requires a broader strategy of digital technologies and cultural development. The shift to digital focuses more on people than on the digital system itself, the evolution process also requires customer-focused progress, supported by superior management techniques, effectively changing the way workers work.
